Ramadhan Kareem
Phewww it’s Ramadhan already!!! Can’t believe it, how time flies so fasttt. I just remembered that during fasting last year, i’m busy with my final year of my degree back in somewhere outside Malaysia hehe. What a hectic Ramadhan as i had to manage my house, to pack all my belongings and to clean the house as well and i made it! I successfully graduated! Ramadhan this year surely will be different from the past years as I’ve always celebrated most of my Ramadhan or half of it abroad, far away from home. That was a new experience to me. And to be honest i missed the old time i had back in those days. I think this is my first Ramadhan going to mosque (for taraweeh) in Malaysia. Lol. That sounds weird right? But that’s it! Our family tradition maybe a bit different from others’. The women would never go to mosque to perform our taraweeh. So i never had any experience going to the mosque during Ramadhan. And to be honest i started performing my taraweeh when i was 15 as during that time i stayed in hostel so we must perform our prayers at the musolla so i had to, and that’s when i first learnt performing taraweeh 😢 there’s a really big different between celebrating Ramadhan here in Malaysia and outside Malaysia. Being abroad made me realise that i love my country moreeee but at the same time i also enjoyed my time there. I think the difference is that being abroad made u appreciate your Ramadhan more, people around u also will remind u of doing good things. Living around the small Malaysians community is soooo peaceful because we trust each others, everybody depends on each others which made us like a big family. That’s beautiful! Also back in that country, their Ramadhan felt so alive, everybody treats Ramadhan like it was a feast or eid. I like that environment and kinda miss that environment a bit hmm 🤕
